How Is EcoPur Effective and Environmentally Friendly?

Traditionally, the water industry offers one class for Point of Entry water treatment systems; petroleum-based water softeners. EcoPur is a Physical-Based whole home water treatment system that is the most Earth-friendly option on the market. It’s economical and environmentally sensitive. It’s economical because it doesn’t use electricity as there is no need for flushing the system and it comes with a lifetime warranty. It’s environmentally sensitive because it doesn’t use sodium or chlorine to treat water and reduces environmental plastics from Bottled Water and Filters. The sodium and chlorine used in other systems has to be flushed back into our community water infrastructure. The system is comprised of three distinct physical chambers. They are as follows:

  1. Bioguard Filter™ – a nano-ceramic filter that reduces bacteria, viruses, cysts, color, sediment (down to 0.2 microns.) Nanoceramics is a term used to refer to ceramic materials fabricated from ultrafine particles, i.e., less than 100nm in diameter.
  2. Pelletized carbon – This physical tank contains a bed of cylindrical-shaped carbon pelletized under rigidly controlled conditions using a high quality binder. This activated carbon possesses high mechanical strength and lends itself well to numerous cycles of regeneration providing longevity. Its shape also offers a low flow resistance maintaining high flow rates within your home. This tank reduces chlorine, chloramines, odors, herbicides, pesticides, sulfur, trihalomethanes, synthetic organic compounds, and volatile organic compounds.
  3. Scale Stop™ – Reduces unsightly hard water spotting on surfaces. This tank prevents lime-scale in the plumbing system, hot water heaters, washers, and other water-using appliances while maintaining essential minerals in your drinking water. ScaleStop™ passed the DVGW testing standard for hardness scale reduction with a 99.6% rating (The DVGW is Europe’s largest water industry testing body).
